Regional Director of Academic Partnerships Job Description
Summary
Asia-Pacific Academic (APA) is hiring two Regional Directors of Academic Partnerships.
The Regional Directors of Academic Partnerships will take responsibility for supporting the growth and development of new program initiatives in partnership with colleagues in Global Education across a diverse set of higher education institutions. The Regional Directors of Academic Partnerships will report to the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and will collaborate on creating plans to engage institutional partners in ongoing communications and program development and will co-lead efforts to expand the reach of Asia-Pacific Academic (APA) in global education.
Qualifications and Duties
- The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative and thoughtful approach to working closely with colleagues in higher education institutions and will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a global education or student-facing role in U.S. higher education.
- The ideal candidate will also understand the complex challenges experienced by faculty, staff, and students on campuses who engage in global education experiences, and a curiosity to learn about emerging issues.
- The candidate will have extensive knowledge of various institutional structures and how decisions to provide resources to students are made at a variety of U.S. colleges and universities, as well as how students receive support on campuses to pursue global and other experiential education programs.
- Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable working both independently as well as part of a globally-dispersed team of colleagues, and bring exceptional skills in communicating both asynchronously as well as in real time, both online and in person.
- The position requires a candidate who can earn trust through their transparent and sincere collaborations, genuine humility, and a deep commitment to listen carefully to colleagues on U.S. campuses and cheer them on while helping them develop and achieve their own successes.
- This position is fully remote with brief periods of in-person travel occurring approximately 9 times per year (January – June, and September – November), therefore a candidate residing in close proximity to a major airport in the U.S. is very strongly preferred. Regions/ territories will be assigned based on business needs.
- The ideal candidate must be a superior self-starter who enjoys the challenges of building and enhancing connections, and truly exceptional at time management.
- The chosen candidate will thrive working primarily in a remote setting, with limited direct supervision.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
Benefits
- Salary range for this position is between $78,000.00 - $88,000.00.
