Academic Program Specialist, Study Abroad

Position Summary

This position will work closely with other members of the FSU International Programs (FSU IP) Enrollment Management team to serve as one of the first points of contact for prospective study abroad students, campus partners, and other stakeholders who have questions about the different locations and types of programs offered by FSU IP. The position is responsible for:

• Advising students & other stakeholders about which programs & locations align with their personal interests and with major/academic mapping/CoreFSU/graduation requirements
• Guiding students & stakeholders through the study abroad admissions, enrollment, and pre-departure processes
• Assisting with the pre-departure process, including the distribution of department communications and program materials
• Using Salesforce and other software to collect and maintain documentation from program participants
• Using data to evaluate enrollment & retention trends across programs & locations
• Assisting with the implementation of new technologies and business processes
• Responding to general inquiries about International Programs and assisting with day-to-day office operation

A motivated & conscientious applicant who is excited to join our team of approximately 30 staff members in the Tallahassee based International Programs office to support the faculty, staff, & programs at our four permanent international sites as well as our many faculty-led programs across the globe. The ideal candidate will have personal experience studying, living, or traveling extensively abroad and a desire to support students through their own international adventure. 

Salary & Benefits
