SUMMARY:

Responsible for the portfolio of short-term programs run by and affiliated with International Education; takes the lead in managing and supporting curriculum linked study abroad programs, including summer study abroad and EnCompass programs, risk management and assessment, and works with campus partners such as the Chaplaincy, Student Development, and Athletics on international travel. Works with faculty and students to advise and facilitate engagement abroad. Coordinates the annual Study Abroad Fair for worldwide partners and is the primary organizer for International Faculty Seminars. Also responsible for a portfolio of semester and/or year-long study abroad programs.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk

  • No or very limited physical effort required

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment

  • Requires international travel

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

  • Experience advising and supporting college-age students

  • Ability to create, compose and edit high quality written materials, specifically those focused on marketing programs to students.

  • Information research skills for preparation of reports

  • Cross-cultural awareness based on living and/or working abroad

  • Knowledge of a foreign language preferred

  • Technical competence in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; experience with Terra Dotta software preferred

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and to manage projects that require high levels of coordination sensitive to international timetables

  • Organizing and coordinating skills

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-time, exempt position
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm; 7.75 hrs. day; 38.75 hrs./week

 

SALARY STRUCTURE:

Pay Grade 7 (Hiring Range $55,640.00 to $73,736.00 annually)
